My repertoire expands to a variety of genres from symphonic repertoire to operatic, ballets and concertos. Conducting these different musical genres has certainly taught me a lot and helped me to have a broader vision in interpretation of music.
To me composition and conducting are simply inseparable. They compliment each other in so many ways. I believe interpreting the music is the most important task of conductor. On the other hand the ability of analysing and interpreting the music is one of the fundamental skills that each composer should acquire. As a Persian composer and conductor I find myself more and more connected to my eastern musical roots whilst the main body of my art breathes and enjoys the refreshing air of western culture.
